KWJ Engineering has been developing sensor solutions for other instrument manufacturers and for industrial end-users since the company’s inception. Examples of the latter include:
- Boeing: KWJ delivered a remote sample draw detector head to warn of excessive concentrations of halocarbon 142b during wind tunnel testing
- NASA: KWJ developed and delivered a multi-detector remote gas detection system. Monitoring the atmosphere in four locations for Refrigerant R-134a, this unique four channel instrument is RF proof and capable of functioning in adverse environmental conditions to exacting NASA standards.
- Pason Systems: KWJ continues to provide oil and gas industry specified instrumentation to demanding rental equipment packagers seeking dependable long-lasting instrumentation. This analyzer, which measures CO2 in a raw methane stream at gas wellhead sites, is just one example of KWJ site-specific design work.
- Owens Corning: KWJ designed and produced a multi point NDIR system to detect Refrigerant 142b gas, a halocarbon solvent, used during the production of their Foamular product. Multiple sampling methods were required for numerous locations within various production plants throughout the US and Canada.
- Con Agra Foods: KWJ continues to provide state of the art BIOGAS monitors for food processing in the United States and Canada
- Chevron: KWJ is developing a novel line of small, low cost sensors capable of measuring minute quantities of multiple contaminants in hydrogen process and fuel streams.
- Shell: KWJ developed two instruments for Shell: an innovative mobile combustible gas detection system that provides simultaneous monitoring and alarm at up to four detection points within a 400 feet range; and a combustible gas monitoring system to monitor gas to a vapor recovery stack.
- 3M: KWJ delivers a battery powered intrinsically safe inline carbon monoxide monitor for portable supplied air applications.
- GM: KWJ provided a group of heat tolerant gas monitors for safe Gas Burner startup
Currently, our solid-state Pocket Platform enables >10X cost reductions over traditional sensing technologies that, when combined with its exceptionally low power requirements, opens up compelling opportunities to increase safety while reducing cost-of-use.
